Squarespace Extensions are third-party plugins that integrate useful tools directly into your Squarespace site and account. Many Extensions have a free access tier with the option to pay for additional features. You can use them to improve your site’s SEO, simplify your shipping and finances, or even turn your site into a mobile app.

Plugins are a way to make your website work harder for you while keeping your site tools all in one place. Instead of searching for and managing extra tools, you can connect a third-party tool directly to your site for convenience.

How to use Squarespace Extensions plugins

You don’t have to use Extensions to have a successful website or business. Using plugins is about making your workflow more efficient or organized, so consider where you could use extra support—or if there are tasks you just wish you could take off of your plate.

To add an Extension to your Squarespace site, open the Extensions panel and browse your options. Then:

  1. Click Connect to site.

  2. Choose the site you want to connect the Extension to.

  3. Click Allow if the Extension asks for permissions to access your site.

  4. Follow the remaining steps to get set up with the third-party tool.
